Margo Angelhart has rejoined the family PI business, and is still working on the case of her father, who is in prison for a murder almost four years ago. She doesn’t believe he did it and is determined to get to the truth. She has been told to leave it alone by her mother and father, but she refuses to. When she gets a call from a nurse who might have new information, she is scheduled to meet her the next morning, but she never shows up; she and her husband were shot to death in their driveway. Her mother is finally convinced to reveal what she knows, and her father is suddenly moved to a federal prison for his own protection. The family soon gathers together, all the information they have is revealed, and they all work together to get to the truth. As they dig, they find a conspiracy involving a new drug about to be released, and it leads to shocking reveals, and maybe an end to their father being in prison. This is the third novel in the series, my first time reading one, and it is great. The story, the characters, and the twists make for an intense, page-turning novel.
