Author Hannah Beckerman is back with her second novel. It is set over many decades and involves secrets among two sisters and a mother that has driven the family apart. The secret is a big one and Hannah keeps you guessing until she drops a bomb. You think you might have it figured out but you do not. Be prepared for the twists and turns and make sure to have some kleenex handy, you will need them.

Jess and Lily have not been friends and have barely talked since the day when Jess saw Lily coming out of he guest bedroom when she was ten years old. She has never said why and has shunned her sister since that day. Their mother Audrey has tried to get them to work out whatever happened back then with no luck. In present time each sister has a daughter, both about the same age, who never get to meet. Audrey keeps doing what she can to make them reconcile.

Now Audrey finds out she’s dying and forces the girls to take a vacation with her and she’s determined to get them to talk and figure out what happened all those years ago. Will she be able to get them to be sisters again? And will shocking secrets tear them apart or re-bond them?
