Michael Ollis loved his family, his friends and his country and growing up he idolized his father, who was a soldier in the Vietnam war, and wanted to be a soldier like his dad. He got his wish and joined the army and had many tours of duty. On his final tour, just days before he was to come home, he made a brave sacrifice and it cost him his life. Author Tom Sileo has written an awesome novel, looking at Michael’s life from the time he was a young boy, through his teens and his time in the service. He talked to his family, friends, people her served with and letters he wrote home. Michael was a hero and got to live the life he wanted, it just ended to early. This book is intense and you will not want to put it down. Have tissues handy.
