Book Review: ‘Hunting Time: A Colter Show Novel’ By Jeffrey Deaver

Colter Shaw has been hired to find a product stolen from a startup company that’s developing miniature nuclear power plants. He’s able to retrieve it, but then inventor Allison Parker and her daughter go missing. Her ex-husband, former cop Jon Merritt, is out of jail, after being found guilty of trying to kill her. When she hears he is out, she takes off in fear for their lives, until he’s found and returned to prison. Shaw is on the trail of them, as is Jon, and a couple of hitmen. With no help from the police, Shaw finds them and tries to protect them. When the hitmen and Jon himself show up, it leads to a shocking shootout and twisty reveal. This is the fourth book in the series, and another good novel. I really like the character of Colter Shaw, and Deaver once again delivers, with the action, and a twist you don’t see coming. Fans of the series will be happy with this one.

You can pick up Hunting Time in stores on Tuesday, November 22nd from Putnam.
