Evelyn is a witch who has been having a friend with benefits relationship with Lizzie, who’s a vampire, and they shouldn’t be involved. When things go wrong, and she tells Evelyn to get out, she steals some of Lizzie’s jewels, and escapes into a portal, where she has no idea where it goes. She ends up in Threshold on a ship, Crimson Hag, run by Bowen, the captain, and now she’s bound to the ship and this realm for the rest of her life, there’s no escape. She joins the crew, but is determined to find a way to leave, even though it could be deadly for her. As the days go along, an attraction develops between them, and when they get stuck on an island alone, things get steamy. This new-found relationship could put both of their lives in danger going forward, This is the first of two novels in the series, and it’s a great kickoff to it. Fans of magic, and attraction between two well-written characters will enjoy this supernatural novel.
