Violet Powell, at the age of 19, killed a mother and kindergarten teacher, when she drove her car drunk and high. Now after 28 months in prison, she’s being released. Harriet Larson runs a prison book club and Violet is a part of it while in prison. Frank Dalgle, is retired and still grieving the wife he lost in the car accident. While at a local bookstore after being released all three run into each other, and it will transform their lives going forward, as they get to know each other, and see what each person is about. A beautifully well-written character- driven novel, that looks at the power of forgiveness and moving forward. This is one you will not want to put down.
