In a mythical world, Pansy Underborrow, who is a halfling, has inherited her Grandmother’s house in the woods, on the border of where the Goblins live. She is happy about this and being able to be out on her own and live the life she wants, not what her parents and town want. When she gets to the house, she finds Ren, a goblin, is living in the house, having taken it over 20 years ago when her grandmother left the house, to grow crops and save his clan. They agree to live together and make a deal; the first one to leave, the other gets the house. They do what they can to drive each other crazy, but soon become friendly with each other, and soon fall in love. This becomes an issue with their respective families, but they don’t care and decide to get married. When a misunderstanding takes place, it could be the end of them. This is a fun, unique story that will put a smile on your face. The feel-good novel of the year. An excellent debut novel.
