After the events of the first book, Walter Nash is out for revenge against Chinese Drug lord Victoria Steers. He has changed his body and look, is working for the FBI, and is going by the name of Dillon Hope. He gets a job as the bodyguard for his employer Temple, and they are off to Hong Kong for a meeting with her. In order to save their lives, they are given a job of saving her mother, who is in prison in Myanmar, a dangerous undertaking. Once that is done, Dillon gets a job as her mother’s personal bodyguard and soon gets closer to Victoria, learning what makes her tick. He knows he wants his revenge, but starts to feel sorry for her, and soon saves her life. He soon learns shocking secrets that change everything, but it may be too late for him and Victoria, as her enemies close ranks on her. This is a great sequel to the first novel, Nash Falls. Author Baldacci ramps up the action and leaves us reeling with shocking twists we don’t see coming, with another incredible novel.
