Book two of the A Tita Rosie’s Kitchen Mystery is a delightful small-town mystery with fun characters and an easy to read story. It will also make you hungry and at the end of the book are a lot of recipes to make what you read about. Lila is getting ready to open her cafe which is next to her family’s restaurant. She’s just getting over finding the dead body in the last book and being accused of murder. And she’s also one of the judges for the Miss Teen Shady Pines beauty pageant. And then fate finds her again and she finds the dead body of Rob, one of the judges and organizers of the pageant. It leads to her investigating the death and then another body is found, that of the presumed murderer. Then the pageant takes place, with shocking results and twists that reveal the truth.
