Dakota and Wyatt grew up together in the South and were best friends. Every summer Wyatt would come home to Texas and they would reconnect until three years ago when he left and ghosted her. Wyatt is now a star NHL player and is a single dad to his one-year-old girl and now he’s back in town. Dakota is mad at him and he has said he is sorry and explains why. He ends up moving in with her since his family home is being renovated. Dakota is a bull rider and is trying to make the PBR. As they spend time together Wyatt knows one thing, he’s in love with her and he has to have her, but she doesn’t look at him like that until he wears her down and they give into their passion. Now they have to figure out where they go from here, with Wyatt leaving at the end of the summer and Dakota working hard on her career. This is a great rom-com with a sexy cowboy and the woman he has always loved. It’s also the sexiest novel of the year, with some hot scenes. Watching them fall in love is a real treat and this is a perfect summer beach read.
