Mia Adams, who is 24, had some fame as a child, she could talk to dead people, and was even a chapter in her mother’s book, even though her name was never mentioned. She lost that gift as she got older, and today works at a bookstore. A mysterious girl has been coming in a lot, and she has piqued Mia’s attention. She is not sure what her deal might be. On this day, on her way home from work, the girl and her friend are following her, she has a crash and dies, and then wakes up as a vampire. There is one coven, broken up into two families, the Suttons and the Bellamys, and she must choose which one she wants to live in. There are a variety of other vampires, some old, some younger, and she soon learns about their ways, drinks blood, and learns a shocking secret she was born to lead, but one is breaking the rules, and looking for absolute power, and Mia may be the key to stopping this person. This is one great vampire novel. The characters, the story, all click, and the author leaves you wanting more, especially with a cliffhanger ending. Hopefully, there will be lots more adventures with these characters.
