Kelly McCann is a very successful lawyer who has been defending men, alleged to be rapists. One of her biggest clients is a rich scientist who has come up with a cure for Alzheimer’s. He’s been accused many times over the years, and bought his way out with payoffs, and NDA agreements. This time, his former co-worker has taken him to court, and Kelly has gotten him acquitted. That night she’s invited to dinner at his house, drugged, and raped by him. He tells hrt to be quit, or it will ruin her life going forward. But Kelly is a fighter, and she gets mad, and comes up with a plan to take him down once and for all by teaming up with the women he has paid off, and turning the tables on him. It’s a dangerous game, and when these women start turning up dead, Kelly has to get her plan in motion quickly, and without losing her own life. A really well-written thriller, that takes a hard look at sexual assault, giving tips on what to do if it happens to you, and to not feel shame. You will not want to put this down, and hope that Kelly can succeed with her plan. A perfect beach read for the holiday.

You can pick it up in stores on Tuesday, July 4th from Harper.
