The year is 1814 and for Lady Delilah Chambers and Elliot Townsend aka The Duke Of Huntington, it’s a night that will forever change their lives.

Delilah is on her way back home in England after a couple of years on the road researching her family and preparing her next best-selling travel novel (that nobody knows she writes). It’s a stormy night and she’s forced to stop at a local inn. She’s accosted by the men there and Elliot comes to her defense, even though she was doing okay by herself. There are no rooms left so Elliot offers his. They go to his room and one thing leads to another and it’s a night of hot passion. Delilah has only been with one man (her late husband) and never felt like this during sex. But they agree it’s a one night thing and he leaves in the morning without saying goodbye.

Delilah arrives home to her late husband’s estate to find her step-daughter Victoria is about to be engaged and it’s the shock of all shocks when it turns out to be The Duke. They now have to do everything they can to stay away from each other and forget what happened. But it’s easier to say that then do it. And soon Delilah learns shocking secrets about her husband’s will, Victoria makes a shocking decision and can Delilah and Elliot actually make a go of it?

A romantic, steamy encounter that at times leads the reader breathless (hope you don’t blush) and reminds everyone how much fun this type of novels are. It comes complete with the shirtless hunk (like Fabio in the old days) on the cover.

You can pick up Her Night With The Duke in stores on Tuesday, September 29th from Avon.
