Book Review: ‘Have Yourself A Deadly Little Christmas: A Novel’ By Vicki Delany

It’s December in Rudolph, New York, known as Christmas town, since they celebrate every year. This year the community if putting on their annual play, and it will be A Christmas Carol, featuring the local town people, with help with former Opera singer Aline. The cast and crew are not getting along, there’s fighting, swiping, and who should play who. For Merry, who owns Mrs. Claus’s Treasures, it’s a sight to see, as her mother is Aline. When one of the actors in the play is found dead in Merry’s store, while she’s in the back, suspicion falls on her and her employee, Jackie, who is part of the play. Then someone tries to attack her mother, Merry decides to investigate on her own, and soon figures out who is responsible, but it may be too late for her to tell anyone. Another solid, small town mystery, number six in this series, which is a fun read, and will get you into the Christmas spirit a little early.
