Eight years ago, Amanda Bennett met Cade at a concert in Vegas, and that same night, they got married, had hot sex, and spent the next few weeks enjoying each other. What Cade didn’t tell her was his secret life, and when someone tried to kill them, Cade vanished, breaking Amanda’s heart. Today, with her heart guarded, Amanda relies on an AI boyfriend app, named Chad, which is tailored to her needs and wants. Then one night a new feature matches her with a real-life wants and needs, and she starts talking to this mysterious man, who we learn is Cade, and he is almost ready to take her back. We learn about his secret past, and what he needs to do in order to reveal himself to Amanda, he hasn’t told her who he really is yet. When her life is in danger, and she learns the truth about Cade, she is torn and hurt, but allows Cade the chance to win her and her heart back. This is the sequel to last year’s first book in the series, featuring Amanda’s friend Izzy. This novel is a sexy, hot (sex scenes), and a love story for the ages. Watching Cade’s love for Amanda is heartwarming, and you root for the two to be together. This is one of the best rom-coms of the year.
