Nora Davis, who is 28, is married to Will, who just turned 46, she is his second wife. They live in the small town of Winter Park, Florida, where everyone knows everyone and their business. On this night it’s a big birthday bash for Will’s birthday. After the party Will gets a phone call, he tells Nora it’s his daughter and she needs her sweatshirt she left on their boat. The next morning there’s no sign of Will and a couple of days later no sign or word from Will. The police are called and a search is out for Will, with Nora being the main suspect. She decides to go on the offensive and starts investigating Will’s past and that of his partner at their law firm. She comes up with evidence that points to someone she thinks is the killer and is shocked when she figures out the real truth. A solid debut novel, with lots of twists and turns and well-written characters and a plot that never drags.
