Gretchen Acorn is a medium, well a fake one, and cons rich women to come to see her for readings. One of her clients asks her to help her friend Charlie, who owns a farm that he’s trying to sell, but it seems to be haunted and scaring off potential buyers. She gets paid a lot of money to do this, so she figures she can wing it, but Charlie sees right through her and kicks her out. As she’s leaving, she runs into a ghost named Everett, who tells her she has to keep Charlie on the farm, or he will become a ghost as well. He lets her stick around to help with the farm, and they fall for each other, and Gretchen comes up with ideas to try and help out with the farm. They just have to decide if they can put their emotional issues behind them and be together. This is a fun novel, with a great character in Everett, who loves to watch TV and has a lot of lol moments. One of the better rom-coms you read this year.
