Viv Abbott is 21, works at a museum, is dating a man she doesn’t really like, and at night, she kills demons as a demon hunter. She used to do this with her father, until he was murdered. Then one day she meets Reid Graveheart, a reformed demon, who invites her to join Harker Academy, a secret place for people like her to improve their skills. She is reluctant at first, but decides to join, and hopefully, she will learn what really happened to her father. She also has a secret about herself and her hunting. When strange things start happening at the school, she starts investigating, and also has to keep her attraction to Reid in check. She has to be careful who she trusts, who she can count on, and to make sure her heart doesn’t get broken. This is an excellent magical mystery, with a great character in Viv, and a host of fun supporting characters. Fans of paranormal stories and characters like Buffy The Vampire Slayer will enjoy this one.
