When the pandemic hit Billie Hope lost her restaurant in New York City and had to stay home with her husband and child. Now two years later she gets a strange email from the Mayor of Juliana< Georgia, two hours from Atlanta, saying she can buy a house for $100 and will be given money to start a business. She's not sure if this is legit and she and her husband, Peter, research it and find it's for real. They pack up and move into a big new house, on a lot of land. Billie opens a new restaurant and things seem to be going good, until they don't. They both have trouble sleeping and strange dreams, especially Peter, who starts researching the town. Then he tells Billie he is leaving and texts her he wants a divorce, until Billie makes a shocking discovery. She knows she needs to grab her daughter and run, but the people that run the town won't let her and she finds her life in danger and has to make a daring plan in order to save herself and her daughter. This is an intense psychological thriller, with twists and turns, that keeps you reading along. Fans of suspensful novels will enjoy this one.
