Juno Hardwick is ex-military who now works at a bikini bar as a bouncer. She also helps take care of her sister, Cassie, who fell apart after their father died. When her old friend, Min, who also served, offers her a job with her private security firm, it would be a three-day job, helping to protect Maelle Ruiz, a journalist, who has written investigate pieces, and someone is after to her, as she comes to LA to speak at an event. The operation starts off on a rough note, as they are followed from the airport, and then things get dicey when someone shoots at them. It seems there is a mole on the team, and after Juno is let go, she teams up with her sister, Cassie, who is a hacker, along with Harry, the team’s hacker, and discovers who the traitor is, rushes to the event when Maelle is talking, and all hell has gone loose, and more moles are revealed. It becomes a game of life and death. This is a fun, well-written novel, with a lot of comic relief, lol moments, and quirky, fun characters. A perfect end of the summer beach read.
