The first novel in the new Annalisa Vega series is a strong start. The story and lead character is a well-written strong woman, who is determined to find a killer before he strikes again. A serial killer from 20 years ago has been quit all these years, that is until The Grave Diggers, a group of amateur detectives decide to look into the cases, led by Grace Harper, who is found dead in the same way as the previous deaths years ago. Detective Annalisa Vega is given the case along with her husband, who has returned to Chicago and the force. No one knows how close Grace might have come to figuring out the case. Throughout the book we read her journals as she digs into the case. Annalisa has a personal connection to the case and is determined to solve it at all costs.

You can pick up Gone For Good in stores on Tuesday, August 10th from Minotaur Books.
