The setting is the small town of Little Springs, Nebraska about 700 people, where not much goes on, and everyone knows everyone. That all changes after a report that an asteroid is heading toward Earth, and it’s the end of days. Turns out the report was wrong, and it was a 3-foot-tall alien, that appears to be dead. It landed right outside of the town. Two years later, the town has become overrun with new residents, buildings, and has exploded in size. The alien, dubbed Gulliver or the giant, has been fenced off and just sits out there. Sheriff David Blunt is dealing with a lot more since this thing arrived. Now, there has been a series of gruesome deaths that the FBI has taken over, and David has been told to stand down, which he doesn’t. There’s something strange about this creature affecting the townspeople, and the drug trade. A mysterious person is the killer, and he is fast and can’t seem to feel any pain. When David finally figures out who it is, he is in for a shock and a fatal showdown. This is an intense psychological thriller, with twists, turns, and a small-town feel. It’s one of those books you will not want to put down.
