Jillian Keller moved back to Smile, Michigan four years ago after her divorce from Andrew, with her little girl Ollie, back into her parent’s home and is working at the family lodge. Levi Bright has moved back home, after he left Smile to become a chef, much to the chagrin of his father, who wanted him to follow him in the family construction business. Happy to be back, Levi is looking forward to connecting with Jillian, her brothers (who are like brothers to him), and his hometown. When the two run into each other there’s a spark and they soon start dating, and Levi is hired to be the chef at the lodge. Things are going good, until Jillian becomes overwhelmed with things, and breaks up with Levi, who is not going to lose her without a fight. This is a well-written novel, with two characters you watch fall in love and root for a second chance at love. It’s early in 2025 and this is going to be one of the top rom-coms of the year.
