Back To The Future is one of the biggest movies of 1985 and in pop culture today. What you may not have known, and I did not know, was that Michael J. Fox was not the original Marty. He was wanted for the role originally, but his Family Ties commitments got in the way. Actor Eric Stolz was hired for the role and actually filmed six weeks’ worth of footage, and was fired and after some negotiating, Michael got the role, which meant he had to film Family Ties all day and film the movie all night. Michael takes us back to this time with fun and insightful stories of how crazy his life was during this time. He takes us to the sets of both the TV series and the movies. He also gives us background on his personal life at the time and a few years before he went to Hollywood and became an actor. For fans of the actor, the movie, the TV series, or just acting and filming of projects, this is a very well-written look at the making of the movie, TV series and his life in general at the time.
