In 1991 at an Elvis Costello taping for MTV Unplugged two comedy stars, Ben Stiller and Judd Apatow, met for the first time, and a friendship was born, as was a slew of fun comedies. This book traces comedies, movies, the stars that made the movies, and the people in front of and behind the cameras. It looks at SNL and the stars that shined there and went on to make comedies that made butt loads of money. It tells the story behind Animal House being made, after every major studio turned it down, until Universal Pictures took a chance on the first R-rated comedy. From TV shows to comedy movies, author Matt Singer covers all in this excellent researched book. It is not to be missed.
