The tiny Texas town of Enfield lives for its football in the fall and for church all year round. Scandals are a no-no and yet they happen. And now it’s marching band contest time and Weston Ryan, who is an outcast because his parents got a divorce and because people thing he chopped down the town tree last year. He wants nothing better than to graduate this year and move away. He’s teamed with Anna James, who worries she will never be good enough. They two work close together on their music and fall for each other. Anna has to lie to her parents about seeing him as they would never approve. Her parents find out and keep them apart but nothing has the power of young love and being with Weston. It will define their futures going forward. A great young love story full of heart and sadness. You will root for these two to be together as you read along. Author Schumacher does a great job in detailing how the two characters feel and emote. These feelings can be just about anyone and you’re left thinking about it long after you’ve read it.
You can pick up Full Flight in stores on Tuesday, February 22nd from St. Martin’s Press.
