Book Review: ‘For The Love Of The Bard: A Novel’ By Jessica Martin

The rom-com debut from author Jessica Martin is solid story of lost love and forgiveness, set during a Shakespeare festival, in a small New Hampshire town. Miranda Barnes is a writer of a successful YA series and uses a pen name to write. She co-owns her own literary agency, with her best friend Ian. She’s called home early due to a family situation and gets roped into being a part of the town’s putting together of the Bard/Shakespeare celebration. She also has a book to write. And she also runs into Adam, the man in high school who stood her up for her prom and went with her sister. They reach a truce and even start hanging out together and end up falling for each other. But things get serious and when they both have their real lifes to get back to, it might be too much to keep a relationship going and they have to figure out if they can be together. Fans of rom-coms will enjoy this one.
