Book Review: ‘For Butter Or Worse: A Novel’ By Erin La Rosa

If you’re a fan or rom-coms this is right up your alley. A well-written story of two people that need to put bitterness and the past behind them, to hopefully move forward with each other. Nina Lyon is a great chef and owns a restaurant in LA. Leo O’Donnell runs the business end of the family restaurant after the death of his father. And each are co-hosts of a reality cooking show and have been for 3 years now. And they hate each other. And Nina has had enough. At the end of the third season live show she quits live at the end of the show. Leo has treated Nina terribly over the years and now he may be out as co-host as well. When Leo goes to try and make things right with Nina, she stumbles and ends up in her arms and a media person happents to get a picture that goes viral and makes it seem like they’re a couple. So they decide to ‘fake date’ to take advantage of the publicity. And they end up falling for each other and having some hot sex (some steamy written scenes). But like all rom-coms they have a misunderstanding that could end them before they even begin. Can they work past their problems and have a life together? A perfect read for the beach, lake, pool and just enjoying a summer day.
