The year is 2009 and the country is in a big recession. On the space coast of Florida things are tough for everyone and for Eddy and Cueball, who are best friends and out of high school, are working as furniture delivers for Cueball’s father Bird. In their spare time they, like to fish, drink, party and do drugs. When Bird announces he’s gone into partnership with an old friend, producing and running drugs up the coast, Eddy and Cueball are assigned as drivers to shadow the trucks, which look like furniture delivery. Everyone is making great money at the beginning. As the weeks go by both men are overtaken with drugs, and too much money and soon there are turf wars, people betraying each other, people dying and Cueball having to go on the run. This is an intense, well-written novel. You really root for Eddy and Cueball to get their stuff together and be the best friends they always were. This is the debut novel from author Joe Pan and has already had rights bought for potential TV. There’s a reason why….this novel is Great!!!
