Book Review: ‘First Born: A Novel’ By WIll Dean

Molly and Katie Raven are identical twins and have always been close. But they’re two different girls. Katie is outgoing and fun, Molly is a shut-in, worried about everything around her. Katie left to go to school in New York, Molly and her parents still live in England. It devasted Molly when she left. Molly’s parents are in New York to visit Katie and tragedy has struck. They found Katie dead in her apartment and it looks like murder. Molly flies over to be with her parents (and it’s an ordeal for her to fly). They meet with the police but don’t get many answers. Molly decides to investigate Katie’s life and start to meet the people she was close to and starts to learn shocking secrets. And not everything is as it seems. Then a shocking twist takes place and the whole story takes a dark twist. And to say anymore would be spoilers. If you like thrillers that have twists you never see coming this is the book for you. I’ve been waiting for this book for a while now. It left me speechless and that’s hard to do. Author Will Dean has written one of the best thrillers all year and easily makes the top-ten list for the year.

You can pick up First Born in stores on Tuesday, July 5th from Atria.
