The only thing Finlay has to worry about right now is her daughter Daisy has been suspended for hitting a boy who has pulling her hair and her son Zach doesn’t want to wear clothes. That has all changed with her 81-year-old neighbor, Margaret who is the neighborhood busybody, is arrested, when the body of a man is found in her back yard, believed to have been there for five years. When she’s released she insists on staying at Finlay’s house until her house is ready to be lived in again, the heat and water need to be fixed. Then her ex-husband, Steven, is arrested for the murder, he has a past history with the man and wife, even though there’s really no evidence against him. Finlay and Vero, her maid decide to investigate the murder and find a shocking book club that meets for more than reading. In her personal life things with Nick the cop heat up. This is the fifth novel in the series and it’s another good one. The relationship between Finlay and Vero is awesome, the writing crisp and they’re lots of LOL moments. The supporting cast is also great, especially Cam, the 18-year-old hacker. Fans of the series will love this one.
