Book Review: ‘Finlay Donovan Crosses The Line: A Novel’ By Elle Cosimano

At the end of the last novel, Vero was arrested and taken to her mother’s house, where she is under house arrest, for stealing money from her old sorority. Finlay knows she is innocent, and when she goes to visit her, she is determined to clear her name. The two of them, along with Cam the hacker, go on a wild adventure to find potential witnesses and figure out who actually took the money. If you’ve read any of these books, you know these two get into tight situations and always manage to stay one step ahead of trouble. The situation is amped up when Vero gets threatening letters, someone spray paints her house, and someone lights dog poop at the front door. When Finlay finally figures out what happened to the money, it’s a race against time and the police to get a confession and recover the money. This is the sixth novel in the series, and it’s another great one. The chemistry between Finlay and Vero, as best friends, is awesome, and reading their adventures keeps getting better and better. There’s a reason Peacock has the rights to the series, and Tina Fey is helping to develop it. Longtime fans and new readers will enjoy this one.
