Book Review: ‘Final Judgement: A Samantha Brinkman Novel’ By Marcia Clark

The final book in the Samantha Brinkman series is a thrill ride with twists and turns. It’s my first time reading one of author Marcia Clark’s book with the character and it makes me sad this is the end. Samantha is a strong, well-written character that you root for to get to the truth. At least I have the first three books to go back and read.

L.A. defense attorney Samantha Brinkman and her new boyfriend Niko, a martial arts expert and millionaire, are on a fabulous vacation when work calls them back to reality. His empire is crumbling and money is being lost by people he told to invest including his mother, who suffers a stroke. He also ends up being her new client when he is accused of murder.

Sam now has to pull out all the stops to defend him but soon doubts crop into their relationship when she finds out things about Niko she never knew. Now she has to figure out if he’s innocent and she has been played.
