Frank Avellino is the former mayor of New York City and has two daughters, Alexandra and Sofia and on this night one of them has murdered him. They both call 911 at about the same time and say the other one did it and both are arrested. Lawyer Eddie Flynn is given a tip about this and ends up signing Sophia as his client. She has convinced him she’s innocent and her sister did it. We end up going to trial and watching the case play out. Along the way one of the sisters writes about her plans, why she killed her dad and how she is killing potential witnesses that could implicate her. Then we get the verdict and shocking reveal. This is another great Eddie Flynn novel that keeps you guessing throughout. The story rotates each chapter from different characters’ perspectives, which enhances the novel. This is the fifth book in the series and they keep getting better and better.
