Laurel Grant lives in Ohio, and does social media, and sometimes writes for a local magazine. She has a twin sister named Holly, who is married, has twins, and owns a farm, where she makes stuff by hand, has goats, and lives a country life. Laurel’s boss, Gilbert, has been dumped by his wife right before the Christmas holidays, and invites himself to the farm, because the life that Holly has, he believes belongs to Laurel, because she told him that was her life. Now in a panic they come up with a plan for a day to make it seem like it is Laurel’s life, complete with a fake husband, Max, who she hates. Things are going okay until a snowstorm hits, and everyone is forced to stay at the farm, and to keep pretending. Soon Max and Laurel figure out they like each other, and put their hate for each other aside, and maybe pull off this charade, and fall in love. A touching Christmas novel, with a fun story, interesting characters, pop-culture references, holiday movie watching and goats. What more can you ask for in a rom-com!

You can pick up Faking Christmas in stores on Tuesday, September 26th from Berkley.
