Elle Monroe has been doing podcasting and has been successful in Chicago. She decides to take a break from it and return to her Indiana home and take care of her Grandmother Lovie, who has Alzheimers. She is shocked to find a man in her bad, named Adam Wheeler, who is a nurse, taking care of Lovie. They don’t hit it off at first but agree to work together for the sake of Lovie, who thinks that Adam is her late husband and that Elle is her, only younger. They agree to play along with this for the sake of Lovie and of course along the way they fall for each other. Once Lovie is put into a care-assist center, the two of them have to figure out if what they have is real or is all for show. This is a fun rom-com, with a unique story and you get emotionally invested in these characters. A good debut novel from author Murphy.
