It’s July 2005, and William Warwick and Hawk are in Singapore awaiting who will get the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. When London is awarded the games, it means a lot of planning and headaches for them and the entire police force. In 2012, as the games are fastly approaching, Commander William Warwick is in charge of security for the games, and all his planning seems to be going good. What he doesn’t know is that the Russians and Chinese are going to try and disrupt these games and make London look like fools. They’ve also enticed William’s old nemesis, Miles Faulkner, in their plans. As the games arrive, each day is a challenge and luckily for the Olympics, William Warwick is in charge and will not let anything bad happen, if he can help it. We follow along during most days, and by the end of the games, someone will die. This is the eighth and final book, which makes me sad, I love this series. Author William Warwick has written a great final chapter in the lives of William Warwick, Ross Hogan, the Hawk, Miles, Beth and Christine. You couldn’t ask for a better finale to a series. Thank you, author Jeffrey Archer, for eight incredible books these characters will be missed.
