The year is 1878, in London, and Eliza Dove and her family are here for her to marry a man of nobility in order to get her inheritance. She meets Simon, known as the Duke, on this night after he has had a fight, he does this for money, to pay back a debt and to get his niece away from the bad guy who controls his future. She is intrigued by him and soon he is hired to be a bodyguard for her family. The attraction between the two is off the charts and she asks him for one night out in the seedy parts of London before she’s forced to marry a man she doesn’t love. They soon fall for each other, have hot sex (with some steamy scenes) and have to figure out if they can be together. This is one of the sexiest novels of the year. The chemistry between Eliza and Simon is off the charts and you root for them to be together.
