Pam, Debra and Harper are three sisters, who live in Detroit, and all have money issues. Pam is divorced from Doug, who won’t pay child support for their two kids and has stolen from their trust funds. Harper owes Doug a lot of money that he loaned her and is behind on all her bills. Debra is married and her husband has cancer, so the medical bills are getting high. When Pam is approached by a friend about a club, called The Wheel, where women get together and make money, think of a pyramid scheme. Pam has gotten to the top and Harper is on her way. Then The Wheel takes a deadly turn, and one of them is murdered and the whole scheme could come out in the open and another one of the sisters finds her life in danger. This is another well-written character-driven novel by author Abbott, who never disappoints.
