Cassie Brooks is an attorney, who works lots of hours at her firm, hoping someday to make partner. She has been with her boyfriend, James, for two years. He is an accountant and they are in love. When James dies in an automobile accident, Cassie is shattered. He has left her his apartment and as she starts cleaning it out, she finds a bucket with wigs, costumes, receipts and a lot of cash. She soon learns he was a secret food critic, who was very popular with the handle @NewYorksecretdiner. Cassie decides she is going to take over the account, she studies his writings and makes her first post. When the account receives an invite to go to Europe for a month to review restaurants, she jumps at the chance. She travels to various cities and writes reviews and finds out who she is and what she wants. It’s a love letter to James and as she travels with the other writers finds herself attracted to Eamon, one of the others on this tour. This is a heartwarming love story and rediscovery of who she is and what she might want out of life. The food descriptions are great and will make you hungry!
