Book Review: ‘Double-Decker Dreams: A Novel’ By Lindsay MacMillan

Kat and her boyfriend broke up, and she has transferred to London from America, for six-months to work on a big account for his firm. One morning looking out into the street, she sees the number four bus stopped, and notices a very handsome man, the man she thinks will be the love of her life. She makes up a whole story about him, how he is royalty, has money, and the life they will have together. When she finally decides to go on the bus to meet him, his name is Rory, she finds he is American just like her, and from the same area of Michigan that she’s from. He’s on a break from his girlfriend, is a teacher, and they start hanging out as friends. Soon Kat has feelings for him, and he could be the one, he’s broken up for good with his girlfriend, and they both profess their love. Then he learns how she really saw him at first, it scares Rory off, and now Kat has to figure out how to fix things. A fun rom-com, that hits all the right note. You invest in these two, and hope they can be together. A perfect beach read.
