The 55th novel in the Eve Dallas series, takes place in 2061 and it’s a case that hits close to home for Eve. A 13 year old girl is found murdered in Battery Park, and nothing about her death makes sense. She vanished from her home mothns ago, she’s wearing a uniform and sexy undergarments. There’s no sign of rape. It leads Eve and Peabody to the world of sex trafficking and this brings back memories for Eve. They find evidence of another girl, who may have witnessed the dead girls death and a frantic search is on for her. They dig deep for other missing girls and finally catch a break when the missing girls shows up. It leads to the climatic takedown of the bad guys. Another solid, well-written novel, with a few LOL moments and the love and support of her husband Roarke and her chubby cat. Fans won’t be disappointed in this latest novel.
