Michael Bennett has his hands full; a bombing has taken place, a cop was killed when a bomb went off under her car, and his partner, Rob Trilling, needs to head home to Montana. Michael and Rob are on the scene of a bombing with very little to go on. Rob gets a call and needs to help his brother out with a problem in Montana, someone is trying to buy the family business, and won’t take no for an answer. Michael is soon joined by an ATF agent, Maggie Kim, a no-nonsense woman, and he is happy to work with her. They chase down every potential lead, and have nothing so far. When Rob calls and asks for Michael’s help in Montana, he hops a plane and soon finds himself in a world of trouble, when someone won’t take no for an answer, Once that problem is taken care of, Michael is back in New York, where another bombing has taken place. Michael and Maggie slowly figure out who is responsible, and go after the bad guys, and reach a climactic ending when another bomb goes off. This is the 18th novel in the series, and it’s another good one. This is my favorite Patterson series, and he never disappoints with any of these books. Fans of the series will enjoy this one.
