In the first book in the series, we met Ruby Young who took over the apartment of Cordelia Graves, who died in the bathtub, either by suicide or was murdered, and has remained as a ghost. In the second book, the two have become friends and Cordelia looks after Ruby. At the tech company Ruby works for, a job Cordelia had, she learns all sorts of new information about Cordelia, some of it shocking. When Marty comes to deliver the morning pastries, Ruby discovers him dead in the bathroom. It’s ruled a suicide but Ruby knows better and starts her own investigation into his death along with Cordelia. Also, she has a hot new neighbor named Tosh, has to deal with Ian, the brother of Cordelia and shocking twists when she uncovers the murderer and Ian makes an announcement and she still is on the hunt for what happened to Cordelia. This is a good follow-up to the first novel. We get a lot more character development with both characters and more lol moments. The addition of new characters enhances the story going forward.
