It’s Halloween season in Scotland, and Sea Isle is getting ready to celebrate. Dr. Emily and her assistant, Abigail, are in full makeup, the haunted house is ready to go, until they find a dead body with a knife in his chest. The man Duncan, whom they had just met, had been murdered, and Ewan is on the case. Then a second man, named Duncan, is also found dead at Emily’s door, and they all wonder if the first Duncan was a mistake. Emily is on the case, looking for suspects and who the killer (s) could be. Emily must quickly find out who did the murdering before it’s too late to save herself. This is the fifth book in the series, and it’s another good one. These small-town Sea Isle novels are a lot of fun, with a strong lead in Emily and a helpful supporting cast. Fans of the series will enjoy this one.
