Book Review: ‘Dead Mountain: A Nora Kelly Novel’ By Preston & Child

I love Preston & Child books, and the fourth novel featuring Nora Kelly does not disappoint. In 2008 nine backpackers didn’t return from a trip to the New Mexico mountains, and six of the bodies were found, but the case went cold with the FBI. The case was called Dead Mountain, and today more bodies are found in a cave. FBI agent Cory Swanson is on the case with her new mentor at the FBI, and calls Nora Kelly for help. As the investigation ramps up, there are more questions than answers, there’s a conspiracy going on, that leads all the way to the White House, and the case is suddenly on hold. That doesn’t stop Cory or Nora, and they come up with what they think will get them all the proof and information about what really happened back then. It may also cost them their lives, as someone doesn’t want the truth to come out. This is another exciting novel in the series, and these two characters are so well-written, and the novels are great to read. Did I mention how much I love Preston & Child novels?
