Book Review: ‘Dark Night: A Beth Rivers Novel’ By Paige Shelton

Book three in the series continues the story of writer Beth Rivers, who is living and hiding out in Bendict, Alaska. It was seen months ago she fled here after being held captive by Travis Walker. He’s been on the run ever since but her mother Mill said she saw him and shot him in the leg. Now she’s on the run and shows up to see Beth. A lot is happening in this remote village…a mysterious census bureau man has shown up, a woman has been beaten by her husband, who is hiding his sister, wanted by the police for shoplifting and then the man is murdered. Beth is slowly sharing her secrets and soon gets more information on her father, who went missing years ago. And she soon gets more shocking information about her father’s past, a man in town may know something and a cliffhanger ending will set up the next novel in the series. This series keeps getting better and better with each book. Slowly we’re learning more about Beth’s past and family life and it’s fun to be along for the ride.
