Clay Edison, now a private investigator, is asked by his friend Regina to help assist in finding out what really happened to Adam Valois, who was 33 and found dead in the water a year ago, of an alleged drug overdose. His death wasn’t ruled a homicide, and his parents want answers. They start investigating and find out things about Adam that the police never discovered. While searching, Clay finds more bodies that were dead in similar ways to Adam. The more they investigate, the more they find out what a sorted life Adam led, and it also included his girlfriend, who claims she saw him the night he died, but had no idea what happened to him. The digging leads to shocking sex sites and videos that could break the case wide open. This is the fifth novel in the series, and it’s another great story. The lead characters are well-written and fun to read, with Regina giving a lot of LOL moments. The father and son duo continue to write great stories together.
