The 17th novel in the series is another thrilling, well-written Ali Reynolds adventure. Ali’s husband B. is on his way to the airport, being driven by his usual driver Hal, when someone runs them off the road. Both survive, and are in the hospital. The person responsible is an ex-cop named Frankie, who has been released from prison for being a dirty-cop. Before he went in, he was offered money to keep quiet upon his release, and he has a hit list of people he wants dead. One of them is Hal, and Ali, Stuart, and Figg are on the case, and getting to the bottom of everything involving Frankie. It spans a bunch of murders, different states, and thanks to Figg, a closing in on Frankie. I really like these Ali Reynolds novels, and fans of the series will be happy with this one.
