Book Review: ‘Christmas At Corgi Cove: A Novel’ By Annie England Noblin

At the age of 15 Rosie Reynolds was dumped in Corgi Cove, Texas (a small town near Austin) by her mother, to live with her aunt and uncle. She hated it at the time, but now 12 years later she loves it. The house is on the lake, and used as a Bed and Breakfast, but these days aren’t doing well, since a super hotel opened across the way from them. Then Everett comes to town, determined to buy the place, and the land for his company, which pisses Rosie off, she doesn’t want to sell, but there may not be any choice. When Uncle Joe has a heart attack, things get put on hold for a bit, and Everett and Rosie become friendly, and hangout, and he gets to learn what small town living, with friends and family is all about. Rosie finds a contest that would pay $100,000 if the inn can win it. She and Everett take the next step, but an overheard phone call ends things for them, but it’s Christmastime, and Everett is determined to win Rosie back, as she awaits the results of the contest. A fun rom-com, complete with two loveable, but pain in the asses corgis, a cat, and small-town living at it’s finest. Fans of rom-coms will delete in the holiday novel.
